How To Submit A Claim

You can send us your claims in one of these ways:

SMARTPHONE APP

Take a photo of the claim – Use the camera on your phone to take a picture of your claim. Scan the QR code on claim – Use your phone to scan the code on your claim provided by your Healthcare Professional.

UPLOAD

Scan and upload your claims. Upload now

E-MAIL

Scan and e-mail your claims to claims@bankmed.co.za

POST

Submit your claims to Bankmed Claims
PO Box 1242, Cape Town 8000

FAX

Fax your claims to 021 527 1940 (kindly ensure that the fax details are clear by first making a photocopy and then faxing)

What to remember

  • Claims must be submitted within four months. Older claims will be considered expired and will not be paid
  • Ensure that your membership number, the healthcare professional’s details including the practice number are clear on the claim
  • Submit a detailed claim and not just a receipt. We require the details of what you are claiming for in order to process your claim quickly and correctly
  • If your Healthcare Professional submits your claim to us electronically, you are not required to submit a copy
